THE ATHOLL CENTRE Pitlochry, Perthshire, is a resource that can respond to the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of all who use it, on a day or residential basis. There is extensive provision for those with mobility issues. The Centre can cater for up to 33 residential visitors and there are 4 public rooms of varying size, some with specific resources available that can be used by both residential guests and daily users. The Centre is adjacent to Pitlochry Baptist Church and shares its Christian ethos. The Centre seeks to show respect, consideration, and hospitality to all who work in it and to all who visit, wherever they come from. It welcomes all people loved by God, and it seeks to share His acceptance and care with everyone who comes through its doors.
The General Assistant will carry out their duties as a member of a team made up of employees and volunteers with the Manager or designated person as Line Manager.

| Prepare bedrooms and clean shower areas and
toilets for guests.
| Clean and prepare all public areas
and rooms.
| Clean windows inside only.
| Record cleaning tasks as required for Health and Safety
purposes.
| Prepare linen for use, including washing,
drying and ironing, as necessary.
| Maintain ordered and
safe storage areas for linen and cleaning agents.

Inform the Office staff of items to be ordered.
| Prepare dining room before and after meals
| Serve guests at mealtimes as required
| Assist in the kitchen as required
| Clean the kitchen
Assist in reception duties as required offering hospitality to all guests, with a welcoming manner and a desire to meet the needs of each individual. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.

The Centre is committed to providing relevant training for all staff. During the first 3 months of employment, training will be given using the Staff Manual, which contains information on protocols, policies and procedures used in the Atholl Centre. Formal Hygiene training will be arranged.

phone link to the line manager.

Further training needs will be identified throughout the period of employment and discussed further at
the employee’s annual appraisal.
